The mission of the OutLand Volleyball Club is to develop and promote our athletes for success in both volleyball and life. Our primary goal is the training of athletes from the entry-level player to the elite athlete. As athletes attain an elite status, we want to afford them every opportunity to compete at the national level. We expect our coaches to be teachers of the game and maintain strong discipline, while creating a positive environment. We want our athletes to improve, learn to compete, and enjoy the game. It is our hope that each athlete who participates in our program develops not only a life-long love of volleyball, but they also acquire experiences and skills that will ensure their success beyond the court.
Due to the elementary basketball tournament being moved to Edgewood, GROUP 2 will practice tonight at 7:30 and GROUP 3 will practice Thursday 7-8:30.

January 23, 2011
The 14 silver team
took first in their pool & 2nd in the entire 14s division this weekend at the IVA tournament in Indy. Way to start off your season ladies!

March 26-28, 2010
The 13 Onyx team
were the tournament champions at IVA on March 27th.
Many of the teams participating in the MidEast Qualifier this weekend in Indianapolis won their btacket!! Way to go ladies!! Over 40 states were represented there this weekened, and the competition was outstanding. Way to represent OVC teams!
March 13/14, 2010
The 13 Onyx team
went undefeated in their pool and made it to the championship game of the Midwest Power League tournament. They lost to a strong Circle City team however to end up 2nd in the Gold bracket.
The 15 Red team
played well at home and were 2 for 3 on the day.
February 27/28, 2010

both won their pools, but lost to a very good teams in the tournament championship.
The 15 Red team
tied for 3rd in the same tournament.
The 17 Onyx team
& 18 Onyx team both won their divisions at the Midwest Power League.
The 16 Black team also did well placing 2nd as well at this tournament.

18 Elite Onyx
had another successful weekend winning their division of the Decatur Challenge.
15 Red
were 3 & 3 at the Hoosier Mini. They improved with every match, losing some games by only a couple of points.
February 6/7, 2010
The 13 Onyx team
did a great job once again. They went undefeated in their pool, but lost to a very tough Decatur Force team in the championship game of the tournament.
January 30/31, 2010
Several Outland teams played this weekend in their first tournament of the season. Great job to the 15s red & onyx, 16s red, 17s red & white, and the 18s scarlet teams for representing OVC well and improving with each game they played throughout the tournaments.
The 13 Onyx team (above) went undefeated on the day and won their division at the Junior Eagles tournament. Way to go ladies! To see pictures of the 13s & 15s at the Junior Eagles tournament, visit the "Photos" link at left.
January 23/24, 2010
Outland Volleyball Club concluded a successful weekend in Indianapolis this weekend with multiple teams winning or competing for tournament championships.
12's & 14's
Coach Rachel's 12's team won at IVA this weekend going undefeated on the day and Coach Stephanie's team played hard and made great strides. Coach Cooper's 14's team split on the day but had a good learning experience.
16's
Coach Hutton's 16 Onyx went undefeated on the day at the Central Zone Shootout winning their division and Coach Herschberger's team placed 3rd after a tough loss in the semi-finals.
17's
Coach Randolph's 17 Onyx also had a strong showing coming up just a little short in the Central Zone Shootout finishing 2nd with tough loss in the finals.
18's
Coach Howard and Phillips 18's Onyx team went undefeated on the day winning their division at the Central Zone Shootout and Coach Clark's 18's Black team gained some experience and learned much about themselves.
Parents we would like for you to send any pictures you may have from the tournaments to us so we can get them on the website. Results will be posted as we receive the information from the coaches.

Please register for your USAV membership before Sunday, January 15, 2012. Click on the volleyball to go to the Indiana Volleyball website, then go the "Juniors Info" at the top. Then click the "click here" link. If you were a member in the past, you will need to login & renew your membership. DO NOT FORGET TO CHOOSE "OUTLAND VBC" for your club when completing the registration. NO ADDITIONAL MONEY IS DUE.

Summer Program
Complete the email form below with your child's name, age, grade, and position to register for the Summer Program. If signing up with a "Buddy" please include the Buddy's name also.
The Outland Volleyball Club will be offering a summer training program designed to enhance physical performance, further define the essential skills of volleyball, and provide the opportunity to develop new skills for the upcoming season. Sessions will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes with coach Howard or Hutton and will be intense in nature but in accord with age and skill.
Participants of previous sessions have been extremely satisfied with their results. Our summer program is a good way to start an elementary/middle school experience, move from potentially a reserve role to a starter, or expand and refine an existing skill set to meet personal and team goals.
Sessions will be limited in size (approx. 12 players/coach/session). Since we have heard interest from many players already, please respond quickly to ensure placement. For dates, times, and more details see the Summer Program Information & Registration form above.

Outland Volleyball Club is offering an excellent opportunity for young players this year. Anyone ages 5-12 interested in volleyball is invited to register for our Skills & Drills Session. These will be offered on Saturday afternoons (times to be determined later) beginning in January. This will be an 8-week session. The fee will be $100. The fee includes eight 1 1/2 hour sessions focusing on fundamentals including passing, setting, hitting, and serving; as well as the rules of the game. Also included in the fee will be an Outland Volleyball Club t-shirt.
